Di
annuari calcistici la pubblicistica italiana e non, pone l’imbarazzo della
scelta: nel mondo, il football ha proprie firme ed innumerevoli lettori.
Ciò che stupisce di questo volume sono due aspetti: a) l’autore non è albanese e neppure di origine; b)
è descritto un torneo non di vertice, ossia la Serie B (kategoria e dytë), e schematicamente tutto
il calcio nazionale. A parte che in Albania non esistono libri sulla seconda
divisione, i contenuti – basati su dati di arduo reperimento e di ricerca
ultratrentennale – narrano leggende, curiosità, misteri e contraddizioni
tipiche di un Paese retto per 48 anni da un Partito-Stato. Inoltre potete
leggere nel volume il “sistema americano” del regime comunista per
rafforzare il Club Dinàmo negli anni Cinquanta; e anche tutte le connessioni
fra governo e sport. Non meno importanti le dichiarazioni di Zbigniew Brzezinski
– Consigliere del Presidente degli Stati Uniti, Barack Obama – sulla cultura
occidentale della nomenclatura comunista albanese... e tante altre cose
interessanti.
Un volume che ogni
calciofilo di qualsiasi nazionalità dovrebbe consultare. La garanzia è che
Armillotta non è nuovo nell’analisi di sport e politica. Da tempo, sulle
pagine di «Affari Esteri» (Roma; Associazione Italiana per gli Studi di Politica
Estera), «Eurasia» (Parma) e «Limes» (Roma), egli ha varato una maniera del tutto
nuova di leggere lo sport nell’ottica delle relazioni internazionali e delle
esigenze di natura geopolitica. Un bell’omaggio agli Albanesi in Italia, i
quali con 441.073 (dati Istat del giugno 2009) sono l’etnia maggioritaria in
Italia, più gli oltre centomila arbëreshët da secoli nella Penisola.
Nel libro ci sono anche 132 stemmi in bianco e nero di squadre albanesi.

yearbooks, they have an embarassingly wide choice. In the world, football has
its names and quite a lot of readers. This book amazes for two reasons: a) the
Author is neither an Albanian and nor of origin ones; b) the book describes a
soccer tournament not at the top – the “Serie B” (kategoria e dytë:
Football Second National Level) – and also it synoptically relates all
Albanian national soccer. Apart from in Albania don’t exist books on Football
Second National Level, the contents of volume – based on arduous finding data
of thirty-year researches – they tell legends, curiosities, misteries and
contradictions, all typical of a Country led for 48 years by a Party-State. Besides you
can read in book also the “American system” of communist régime to
strengthen the Dinàmo Club in
50s; and all the connections between government and sports too. Last but not least the declarations of
Zbigniew Brzezinski – the adviser of US President, Barack Obama – about the Occidental
culture of Albanian communist nomenklatura... and many other interesting topics.
This
is a book, which every soccerphile of any nationality must consult. Guarantee is
that Armillotta isn’t new in analysing sports and world affairs all together.
For a long time, on the pages of «Affari Esteri» (Rome; Italian Association of
Foreign Policy Studies), «Eurasia» (Parma), «Limes» (Rome), Armillotta
launched a new way of reading sports from viewpoints of international relations
and geopolitical needs. A beautiful homage to Albanians, who are 441.073 (June
2009 Istat data), that is the most large ethnic group in Italy, more over a
hundred thousand of “arbëreshët” from centuries in the Peninsula. In the
